The successor to Xiaomi's popular Redmi Note 6 series, Redmi Note 7 will be the first smartphone to launch in India under the new "Redmi by Xiaomi" sub-brand. Gizchina reported that the supposed Snapdragon 855 powered Redmi phone will be priced at about $370- about Rs 26,000 as per current exchange rates.

The Redmi Note 7 smartphone was first launched in China last month, which comes with a premium glass body and a massive screen-to-body ratio thanks to the waterdrop notch display.

Lu Weibing revealed the information on Weibo posting a photo of him and Redmi's crew in Xioami's Shenzhen R&D Institute where they've discussed the future of Redmi as a brand and its upcoming devices.

Recently, Xiaomi announced that it would separate its high-end Mi brand from the company's value for money "Redmi" brand.

Redmi Note 7 Pro, What To Expect? Considering the amount of success the Redmi Note 7 has received, the company reportedly is all set to make a flagship Redmi smartphone with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC.

The Redmi Note 7 is fueled by the Snapdragon 660 64-bit octa-core processor, which managed to surprise quite a few people, as the Snapdragon 710 was expected.

Xiaomi's offshoot - the Redmi brand had earlier said this at the launch of the Redmi Note 7.

Redmi Note 7 will be available in two variants - 3GB of RAM with 32GB of internal storage and 4GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage. The phone will probably include two cameras on the back, 48 and 5-megapixel cameras, while a single 13-megapixel camera will be utilized on its front side.
