Whatever the root cause of Amanda Bynes mental health and drug addictions may be, she has the love, support, and understanding of countless who hope she overcomes this latest setback and lives her best life full of happiness and joy.

Sources told the outlet that the star has been in treatment in the Los Angeles area for two months after the pressure of being back in front of the cameras, as well as going to auditions, was 'too much too soon'. As news surfaced towards the end of 2018, that Amanda Bynes was returning to the public eye and focusing on her acting career, fans were thrilled.

It was her decision to launch that comeback which contributed to her relapse, TMZ reported.

During a Paper Magazine interview in November, the actress admitted that she had slipped into a depression after filming She's The Man. She said she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder years ago and started experimenting with drugs at age 16. But, the "All That" star explained how drugs had played a part in her issues for years before becoming sober. "[I tried] cocaine three times but I never got high from cocaine".

"I never really liked going out that much".

"Later on it progressed to doing molly and ecstasy", she said. "It was never my drug of choice".

From 2010 onwards, Amanda was seen struggling with drug use and mental health decline in a very public way, with Twitter spats and arrests keeping her in the spotlight.

'I don't know if it was a drug-induced psychosis or what, but it affected my brain in a different way than it affects other people.

Amanda was 'doing really great, ' the lawyer said at the time.

Incidents included being arrested for drug possession, also for colliding with a patrol auto, and accused her father of being a "sexual predator", something he immediately denied. She started "hanging out with a seedier crowd and I isolated a lot" during her darkest moments, and "got really into my drug usage and it became a really dark, sad world for me", she shared. "It makes me feel so disgusting and sick to my stomach and sad", she told the magazine. When I was off of them, I was completely back to normal and immediately realized what I had done - it was like an alien had literally invaded my body.

Amanda took a long break from the public to quietly study fashion as at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles.
