The event will take place at 10 a.m.

Tech giant, Apple, has confirmed it will indeed be holding an event on March 25, which will likely be the announcement of its highly anticipated streaming video service, as well as the new Apple News subscription dubbed "the Netflix of news".

Apple has been dealing with the reality of slowing iPhone sales for months, which means a focus on new services could be vital to growing its business.

In its invitation, Apple did not specify the focus of the event and gave a single-line description: "It's show time".

Bolton: Trump would be 'disappointed' if North Korea launches missile test
It remains unclear at this point, if the possible launch would be for a missile or a satellite rocket. Images of the renewed activity follow their second summit in Hanoi at the end of last month.

As a number of people have pointed out, it's the same tagline the company used back in 2006 when it first announced the Apple TV service, so I'd say that's another solid nod towards the streaming service reveal.

That is a big shift for Apple, which earlier this year moved to make its Apple Music services work on smart speakers from rivals such as Amazon and partnered with Samsung Electronics Co Ltd to let Samsung television owners watch video purchased from Apple on Samsung sets.

Therefore, it's no surprise that the March event is looking increasingly likely to be a launch party for Apple's streaming service.

Apple is aiming to resell TV channels subscriptions similar to Amazon, whose Prime Video Service resells Starz and other channels and keeps a cut of the sales. We still don't know much about what it will look like, but as Apple's services division continues to grow so much year after year, bringing in more subscribers, in whatever form possible, has become a priority.
