The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl were all spin-offs of Arrow. "We're excited about crafting a conclusion that honours the show, its characters and its legacy and are grateful to all the writers, producers, actors, and - more importantly - the incredible crew that has sustained us and the show for over seven years". Arrow may be the show that launched a thousand spin-offs (OK, not a thousand, but it birthed the whole Arrowverse for heaven's sake), but every show eventually reaches an endpoint, and it looks like Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) is finally read to put his bow and arrows down. Honestly, it is the best decision. I really enjoyed the first four seasons of the show, but it seemed to lose what made it special as the seasons went on. It never works well when a successful show loses the main star then changes directions.

"Sad to hear the news that #Arrow will be ending after Season 8".
