Earlier today, some new evidence emerged that suggested Battlefield V's battle royale mode "Firestorm", is finally getting ready to release soon. As you'd expect, the Firestorm tutorial follows the same structure and presentation seen in introduction videos for other modes in the game.

Of course, there's the possibility that the footage spilled on YouTube is somehow faked, but that seems unlikely, given that this is a pretty convincing looking video which lines up with previously leaked info in many respects. We reported helicopters and the various modes you can undertake during your time with Firestorm.

All this seems to be confirmed by the below video. Fans have been waiting in anticipation for some juicy details and this is our first decent look at the new mode. The video is a leak though so the quality is not great. Maybe this will spark Dice to release something more official.

As expected, there are map objectives.

Stay positive about everything. "I believe in you, your abilities and you heart! Each one of us, is simply trying to figure it all out".

The biggest difference with this Battlefield royale (as it were) - apart from the setting of course - is that there are no separate character classes and abilities as seen in Apex Legends. The UI is similar to that in other battle royale games, such as Fear the Wolves, with an inventory screen off to the side, obstructing little of the screen. However, EA need to be very careful how it is accessed by players, how it's marketed and making sure to keep it relevant with updates and additional content.

Even though shroud will approach Firestorm with hopeful expectations, he thinks that the inclusion of certain vehicles could spoil the fun if the battle royale puts too much of an emphasis on them.

At any rate, you can check it out for yourself, and make your own mind up: grab a snack, or your beverage of choice, and hit play on the clip below.
