In October, the "Argo" director completed a 40-day stay at a treatment center for alcohol addiction, his third rehab stint.

Ben Affleck has admitted alcoholism is a "part of [his] life" so he is happy to talk about his addiction.

That being said, he is not about to hide anything now.

"I mean, some people are sort of uncomfortable, but it doesn't really bother me to talk about alcoholism", he said.

"It's part of my life, something that I deal with". It's something that I deal with. "It doesn't have to subsume my whole identity and be everything but it's something you have to work at".

It was not the first time he received help either.

"I had a problem and I really want to address it", he continued. "It's about yourself, your life, your family, and you know people ― we encounter these kinds of hurdles and we have to deal with them".

As he's made clear in past statements, Affleck overcame his battles thanks to-and because of-his family.

That includes his former wife and fellow actress Jennifer Garner and their three kids.

Superhero movies have often struggled when overstuffing villains, but that's not always the case, and its always possible that some may have very minor roles (i.e. Victor Zsasz in Batman Begins), or will be used to plant seeds for future movies - assuming of course that the above information is legit.

He said: "She's wonderful".

"I just did the A-rod 10-day challenge...it was a little bit tough, but I did it...it's very bad for the first couple of days because I am definitely somebody who likes bread and sugar... it's terrible, you get through it and you're like I feel pretty good". "Somebody that is the mother of your kids, they're going to be the most important, central person in your life and that's good".

Affleck then insisted he's a "good dad" - and heaped praise on ex Jennifer, whom he divorced last year after 13 years of marriage. Though she has yet to publicly confirm her relationship, Garner has been connected to entrepreneur John Miller since a year ago.
