Bitter, dangerous wind chills return tonight

With temperatures in the single digits and wind chills well below zero overnight and into the morning, many metro school districts are delaying or cancelling classes for Monday. With the gusty winds sticking around, this will create wind chill values as low as -30° at times through the early morning hours of Monday. At those temperatures, cold can cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. A Wind Chill Advisory is in place through noon Monday.

Cold weather is expected to last through Wednesday before a gradual warming trend could allow highs to make it into the 40s by Friday and Saturday. "It's not going to be the same temperature as what we saw in January".

The first one on Thursday could bring some isolated drizzle or rain showers to the area.

Jurgen Klopp blames windy conditions for Liverpool's goalless draw with Everton
We have to take the situation like it is. "We become the chasers now and all the pressure is on Manchester City", said Liverpool's left-back.

Side streets will still be snow-packed and icy for the Monday morning drive.

Another system will likely head our way by the start of next weekend. That's something we'll continue to track in the days ahead.
