NFL Giants were reportedly heavily shopping Odell Beckham Jr. By Vincent Frank

Browns fans were giddy last night following along on twitter as various players from the team were teasing a possible "big move" by the team which fans hoped meant that Giants wide out Odell Beckham Jr.

Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports 1 reports, nearly unbelievably, that the Giants have, in fact, traded Beckham to the Cleveland Browns.

Lombardi also noted that Beckham has a "very short list" of teams he wants to be traded to, but that may not matter much. The Giants aren't actively looking to trade Odell Beckham Jr.

Beckham, 26, signed a five-year megadeal with the Giants worth up to $98.5 million less than a year ago.

When seeing this, it's a sigh of relief for most Giants fans, including myself.

Now, each day it seems that rumors out of Cleveland gain more veracity that the Browns are actively trying to pry Beckham out of NY. And it appears the three-time Pro Bowler could be on the trade block.

Nissan to end luxury Infiniti auto production in Sunderland
It means the Q30 and QX30 - now built in the United Kingdom at Nissan's Sunderland plant - will be discontinued later this year. Infiniti will stop selling cars for Western Europe by 2020, and will focus instead on its customers in North America and China.

Beckham not being part of that deal felt like it was a shore up of Dave Gettleman's comments about the Giants not being willing to trade Beckham. One of the league's best wide receivers remains on the market.

Bleacher Report's Matt Miller believes the Browns are probably the favorite to land Beckham, if he's traded.

But after another disastrous season where the Giants flopped at 5-11 and Beckham had several incidents that angered the team's brass, they chose to move him after paying out $21.5 million for 12 games.

Thanks to some in-depth research by Ben Axelrod of WKYC3, it seems the Browns may have been working this past week to gear up for a run at Beckham.

I'm sure more reports on this subject will come out by the day. Beckham's productivity on the field is still unmatched despite missing four games this past season and 11 games in 2017.
