Boston Celtics guard Kyrie Irving will miss the game against the Sacramento Kings with a thigh injury. They will be playing in front of an energetic crowd, Irving is out and the Celtics are on the second night of a back-to-back.

Irving scored 19 points, grabbed five rebounds, dished 11 assists and swiped two steals in 30 minutes of play during Boston's 128-95 victory over the Golden State Warriors at Oracle Arena on Tuesday.

Irving, a six-time All-Star, is averaging 23.4 points and 7.0 assists this season. His absence could be good news for the Kings (32-31), who were three games out of the eighth spot in the Western Conference playoff race going into the game.

Irving missed the end of last season and the playoffs after having surgery on his left knee to remove two screws from his patella that were inserted in 2015 to fix a fracture he suffered during that year's NBA Finals.
