Celtics’ Jaylen Brown Says Team Atmosphere is 'Toxic' Amid Losing Stretch

Can Jaylen Brown be the jolt the Celtics need to revive their season

Celtics guard Jaylen Brown has blamed a "toxic" environment for Boston's highly underwhelming 2018-19 campaign.

With Boston having dropped five of six games coming out of the All-Star break, chemistry issues on and off the court for the consensus preseason Eastern Conference favorite starts with Irving, according to Kevin O'Connor of The Ringer. "The losing, it's not a good feeling".

"To be honest, I'm not feeling good at all", Brown said about the current state of the Celtics, via CBS Boston. I don't have all the answers. "I got away with doing that for so many years, like, being angry and not really being questioned about anything like that, just like 'what's wrong with him?' and it's like, it just gets overwhelming at times just from, you know, you have high expectations, you want it all right now". "I think someone told me that Adam Silver was talking the other day about how unhappy National Basketball Association players are especially nowadays because of the scrutiny and exploitation that we go through". "That's all I've got to say", he concluded.

Boston, who open a four-game road trip on Tuesday night against the Golden State Warriors, are running out of time to turn their season around, but Brown said the Celtics can still recover.

"I just try to come out and play hard and hopefully that sparks some [change]. If we don't, we won't be playing very long", added Stevens. It essentially boils down to if Irving decides to re-up with Boston (as he stated he would before the season), that likely means Danny Ainge is going to try to trade Brown, Tatum and others for Davis.

A video had gone viral of Chohan making the remarks while responding to Indian rhetoric in the aftermath of the Pulwama attack. PTI government will not tolerate this nonsense from a senior member of the government or from anyone.

Irving admits the distraction has taken a personal toll.

"This is all about being together", Stevens said.

While Kyrie Irving and LeBron James share a championship and countless memories of playoff basketball, they are also brothers in captaining teams two of the league's most storied franchises during disappointing seasons. "We have not repeated with the right connected level for a lot of the year".

"I didn't really come into this game to be cameras in my face, be famous, be a celebrity, whatever embodies that". Ultimately, that's on all of us. "It's like nobody wants it to be exclusively about them, but we take most of the responsibility and so does the head coach". We haven't yet. So we'll see.
