NASCAR is leaving Las Vegas.

The move to Nashville comes as NASCAR is making inroads towards hosting a national series race in the metro area. The season-ending awards banquet is headed to the Music City Center in downtown Nashville.

The sanctioning body has held its Cup Series awards banquet in Vegas since 2009. Prior to moving to Las Vegas, the activities were held in New York City from 1981-2008.

Fitbit Versa Lite Edition is now Fitbit’s cheapest smartwatch
But the Fitbit Versa Lite Edition isn't the only new Fitbit and despite its name it's also not the cheapest of the new arrivals. The band will be available soon in two colors (Watermelon/Teal and Night sky/Neon), plus optional printed bands.

Beginning this winter, NASCAR will hold Champion's Week in Nashville.

The Tennessean says that Speedway Motorsports, which owns Bristol Motor Speedway and sever other NASCAR tracks, struck a deal with fairgrounds racetrack operator Tony Formosa that paved the way for NASCAR's return.

NASCAR also announced Wednesday that the awards banquets for the NASCAR Xfinity Series and NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series, as well as the NASCAR touring and global series, will move up and be held prior to the Cup Series awards banquet. NASCAR will celebrate with those series on Friday, November 22.
