Angelina Jolie's Maleficent Mistress of Evil to release on October 18

The film, which will pick up several years after the 2014 original left off, will premiere October 18, almost seven months earlier than its initial debut date of May 29, 2020.

Disney has moved up the release date of "Maleficent 2", the sequel centering on Jolie's villainess, to October 18.

The film will be released on October 18, with Halloween falling on October 31.

Disney also dropped a new teaser poster for the pic this morning. Fans can also start planning their Halloween costumes accordingly, since the film has been perfectly timed to coincide with the annual costume frenzy. The sequel takes place years after the first movie and continues to explore the complex relationship between the horned fairy and the soon to be Queen (Elle Fanning) as they struggle to protect the moors from new adversaries.

In the film, Angelina Jolie reprises her role as the villainous enchantress Maleficent.

The club are also said to be tracking Napoli central defender Kalidou Koulibaly and want to add another midfielder to the squad. The former Manchester City winger has faltered as Dortmund have, with the team winning just one of their last six games.

Other new additions include Chiwetel Ejiofor, Ed Skrein and Robert Lindsay.

Filming began May 2018 under the direction of Joachim Rønning (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales).

The first movie was released in May 2014 and brought in over $758 million. That will make it a little over five years after the first one came out and showcased the dynamic duo that was Jolie and live-action Disney reboots of their animated classics, even ones that don't slavishly recreate the originals à la Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, and the forthcoming Lion King.

The sequel to Disney's "Maleficent" is flying into theaters much sooner than anticipated. Let us know in the comments!
