Kohlschreiber broke to lead 3-2 in the second set at which point Kyrgios, already one of the fastest players on tour, proceeded to increase his pace of play with one service game taking just 38 seconds.

"I didn't know what to expect today because he's a completely different player (now)", said Auger-Aliassime after their morning match.

"My mind at the moment is not very fresh", he said, but added that Auger-Aliassime "deserves every single piece of that victory".

The 18-year-old Canadian, the youngest player in the world top 100, fired an unreturnable serve on match point to defeat the 20-year-old Tsitsipas - who is the youngest player in the top 10. But I believed in myself, was able to impose my game like I did in the first round, and that's it.

Less than a week ago, Tsitsipas jumped into the top 10 for the first time.

"It seemed like he was really pumped and really energized today", Tsitsipas said.

Fellow Canadian Milos Raonic from Thornhill, Ont., downed American Sam Querrey 7-6 (1), 6-4 to also advance into the third round.

If there were nerves, Auger-Aliassime didn't show it. "He has kind of a unusual tempo in his game, and you always feel like he's going to hit very hard, but then you don't really know what to expect, how hard he's going to hit the ball".

Interestingly, these two players had never met at the highest level before this encounter but Auger-Aliassime has played Tsitsipas thrice before at the juniors level.

Tsitsipas's Dubai run, which included an epic semi-final victory over Gael Monfils, saw him enter the world top 10 for the first time. Auger-Aliassime lost to Laslo Djere and reached the quarterfinals the following week in Sao Paulo - where he also lost to Djere. He defeated the Greek lad, Stefanos Tsitsipas in the round-of-64 of the Indian Wells 2019. Up next, the Felix Auger-Aliassime will face the victor of the match between Roberto Bautista-Agut and Yoshihito Nishioka.

In the third round Monday, he will play the victor of a match later Saturday between No. 21 seed Roberto Bautista Agut of Spain, and Yoshihito Nishioka of Japan.

Felix Auger-Aliassime is just 18 years of age but is already been spoken about in the tennis world with a lot of awe.

American qualifier Marcos Giron battled back to down 23rd seed Alex de Minaur 1-6 6-4 6-2 for the biggest win of his career. She will play qualifier Stefanie Voegele of Switzerland on Sunday.

There was "no reason to obsess" about the budget deficit, he said, as long as it remains below 5% of the overall economy. He says the budget will contain a proposed 5 percent across-the-board reduction in domestic spending.
