Hornibrook is a graduate transfer who will be eligible immediately. In 2017, he helped Wisconsin reach the Orange Bowl as he threw for 2,644 yards and 25 touchdowns with 15 interceptions.

Kennedy, who is one of several Alabama prospects the Seminoles are getting involved with, already had developed a strong connection with Florida State linebackers coach Raymond Woodie.

Wisconsin had College Football Playoff aspirations entering 2018, but fell short. The Badgers finished the season with an 8-5 record. The 6-foot-4 lefty started 32 games for the Badgers (including nine last year), and Wisconsin won 26 of them.

The last time the Seminoles brought in a grad transfer QB, there was expectations that Everett Golson was going to pick up where Jameis Winston left off - expectations that were never going to take place even before he missed games following a concussion and eventually left the team.

He completed 59.5 percent of his passes last season with 13 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.

Right now, it's a two horse race between Hornibrook and Blackman for the QB1 job in the wake of the Deondre Francois debacle. He threw for 5,438 yards, 47 touchdowns, and 33 interceptions in that span.

For the second straight year, with the caveat of top target Lance LeGendre committing to Maryland, Florida State head coach Willie Taggart did not get a quarterback on National Signing Day.
