The Fortnite Buried Treasure map item is a great way to get legendary loot quickly. There is already a new update and some leaked challenges for this week. Epic Games is hoping their players feel the same way because the latest update, v8.01, has introduced buried treasure to Fortnite's Battle Royale mode.

As the name implies, the Fortnite Buried Treasure map item is a map that leads you to awesome loot. But while most of the game's new additions are created to help you see off your opponents or move around the map, the latest arrival has a very different objective.

Epic also reduced the availability of Infantry Rifles and Clingers. There is no fall damage, increased run speed, and lower friction.

The new item, which showed up in "Coming Soon" section of the game's login page, is called Buried Treasure. "But in reality, llamas do not contain the loot expected by the reasonable consumer". "Find the X that marks the spot and get to digging".

Once you're close to the location you'll see a golden shaft of light marking exactly where you need to dig with your pickaxe.

For creative mode, players are no longer limited to 3 sprays on a custom map. These maps can be found as Floor Loot or in Chests.

Epic is also testing the Gauntlet Solo & Duo Tournament format. It is worth noting that you can only have one at a time.

-Each match played will reduce your score by two points in the form of a "Bus Fare" at the start of the match.

At the conclusion of the Gauntlet Test Event, the Top 5% of players based on their final score will unlock the "Gauntlet Finals" tournament. The match limit will be ten games with the same scoring format.
