Apex Legends was widely praised for the system when it launched earlier this month, and it didn't take long before Epic revealed they were taking inspiration from their new competitors. The start of a new season also means you should say goodbye to vaulted items like the and X-4 Stormwing plane, but luckily the new arrival of hot air vents make for an acceptable transportation substitute.

Fortnite fans have been treated to two brand new trailers for Season 8.

As many have predicted, though, it doesn't look like the pinging system is the only thing that Fortnite is borrowing from Apex Legends.

Original story: It's been rumoured for a while there'd be a Fortnite respawn mechanic coming soon, and it looks like it's nearly here in the form of what appear to be Fortnite respawn trucks.

There's no confirmation on when these trucks will be added to the game properly, nor do we know why they're showing up in replay mode. I'm guessing they're still working out the kinks - or else they would have included it in this update.
