Sydney Kings star Andrew Bogut is reportedly being chased by several National Basketball Association teams following his award-winning but ultimately unsuccessful season in the NBL.

Defending champions the Golden State Warriors and Philadelphia 76ers are among "multiple contenders" interested in signing the 34-year-old centre, according to a tweet from The Athletic's Shams Charania.

The Australian big man, who is now a free agent, saw his NBL season draw to a close on Sunday with the Kings going down to Melbourne United in the league's semifinals.

Golden State has had their 15th roster spot open all season, and might be willing to add Bogut for the league minimum (around $2.4 million).

Andrew Bogut could be bound for the Bay Area. In the 2018-19 season, Bogut earned NBL MVP and Defensive Player of the Year honours after averaging 11.6 points and 11.4 rebounds per game. The 10-time All-Star is averaging 27.5 points, 6.9 rebounds and 5.8 assists per game for the Warriors this season, all while shooting 51.4 percent from the field, 36.4 percent from beyond the arc and 89.0 percent from the free-throw line.
