"I am extremely pleased that Hello Kitty and other popular Sanrio characters will be making their Hollywood debut", said Sanrio founder, president, and chief executive officer Shintaro Tsuji.

Hello Kitty is finally getting a US big screen adventure as New Line Cinema, Sanrio and FlynnPicturesCo. team up to develop a new animated movie based on the merchandising juggernaut.

"Hello Kitty and her friends have been part of our shared culture for decades and we look forward to exploring where her newest adventure will take her", it added.

The proportions are balanced and the machine appears to be slightly less aggressive than the CX-5 but, dare we say, that's good. Along with a trio of engines, Mazda will offer both six-speed manual and automatic gearboxes in overseas markets.

Coming soon: A Hello Kitty movie is in the works from Sanrio, FlynnPictureCo. and New Line Cinema, a division of Warner Bros. Sanrio has sold Hello Kitty's film rights to WB subsidairy New Line Cinema, with Flynn PicturesCo attached as producers. Sanrio has previously produced three Hello Kitty anime films in Japan. That has allowed her to remain silent: Hello Kitty has no mouth. Sanrio, New Line, and FlynnPictureCo. will develop the film based on the beloved kid's brand, marking Hello Kitty's first movie deal outside Japan in the character's 45-year history. "With the positive and family-oriented values that Hello Kitty and Sanrio embody, there has never been a better time than now to share her message with the world!"

"It's a rare privilege to have the opportunity to explore the possibilities of such timeless IP", Carolyn Blackwood and Richard Brener, presidents of New Line, said in a statement about their feline coup. She has a twin sister, she loves apple pie, and a whole lot more.

The cartoon character, created by Yuko Shimizu in 1974, has appeared in various video games, animated series and movies, comic books and even an album centered around her. She is a little girl. "Hello Kitty is not a cat". Now, she'll grace the silver screen, at which point she might remind audiences that she's not actually a cat (weird, right?). "She is never depicted on all fours". Sanrio eventually clarified its position - she is a cat - and world order was restored. The yet-titled project will be produced by FlynnPictureCo. and distributed by Warner Bros. On Monday, Kevin Tsujihara, the studio's chairman, was given expanded responsibilities for children's entertainment and merchandising at WarnerMedia, which is owned by AT&T and includes properties like Warner Bros., HBO and cable channels like Cartoon Network, TNT and TBS.
