He stressed on Pakistan's stance following Pulwama attack in IOK, and said "Pakistan had nothing to gain from Pulwama attack" and stated that the person responsible for the suicide bombing was a local who grew exhausted of India's highhandedness in the valley. Indian Foreign Secretary Vijay Keshav Gokhale called the strike a "non-military pre-emptive action, specifically targeted at the Jaish-e-Muhammad camp".

Delhi has yet to respond to the statement but sources told an Indian news agency that 12 fighter jets had crossed into Pakistani territory and destroyed a militant training camp.

He asked the Indian leadership to "rethink its war strategy" and warned that if India initiated a war, then Pakistan would hoist its flag in New Delhi, Geo News reported.

India and Pakistan have fought two of their three full-fledged wars over Kashmir since their partition during independence from Britain in 1947.
