And as a special treat for first-in-line buyers, Jeep announced the Gladiator Launch Edition on Friday, which will be limited to just 4,190 units.

The Jeep Gladiator pickup is one of those rare vehicular artifacts that, having finally arrived after years of speculation and anticipation, feels like it's always been a part of the automotive. A total 4,190 will be built, the number a reference to the 419 area code of the Gladiator's plant in Toledo, Ohio.

4,190 Launch Edition trucks will be made. Then, if they so desire (which they will), they can enter to win a so-called "Find your Freedom" contest.

The Launch Edition is based on the fully loaded Gladiator Rubicon but gets a few unique visual accents, including special badging, 17-inch midgloss black aluminum wheels, black leather seats and red contrast stitching. Jeep will choose one victor, give them a check for $100,000 - a year's wage, they say - and tell them to have a year's worth of fun with their brand-new pickup truck. "So we're offering that, in the form of one-year's salary, to the victor, so he or she can truly enjoy the outdoors, pursuing any adventure in their all-new Jeep Gladiator Launch Edition". If you do buy a Gladiator Launch Edition, you'll unlock the ability to enter a Jeep's "Find Your Freedom" contest.

Public health officials warn of measles exposure at Vaughan Mills mall
Officials say an adult who contracted the measles while travelling overseas was in the mall that day between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. Call the TPH hotline at 416-338-7600 or 311 for infants, pregnant women or people with weakened systems who may be affected.

With segment-competitive towing, payload, off-road capability, and pricing, plus all that baked-in Wrangler personality, we think many midsize pickup buyers are going to have a hard time driving past the Jeep dealer without stopping to check out the Gladiator. US Army vet and wounded warrior Noah Galloway will review the videos and select a victor. Standard features include LED head and tail lights, an 8.4-inch touchscreen, a 9-speaker Alpine premium sound system, keyless entry, Forward Facing TrailCam camera, Blind-Spot and Cross-Path Detection, ParkSense® Rear Park-Assist System, Advanced Brake Assist, Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning Plus, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop, Trail Rail Cargo Management System, spray-In bedliner and Trailer Tow. The vehicle comes standard with V-6 performance, in this case a 3.6-liter V-6 mated to a 6-speed manual and rated 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque.

The 2020 Gladiator costs about $5,500 more than the base 2019 Jeep Wrangler two-door and about $2,000 more than the Wrangler four-door. Combining traditional Jeep attributes with strong truck credentials, the Jeep Gladiator is a unique vehicle capable of taking passengers and cargo anywhere.

The Gladiator Rubicon tops the lineup at $45,040, and it largely builds on the the Sport S trim level with a host of off-road upgrades such as wider axles, 33-inch Falken all-terrain tires, automatic sway bar disconnects, front and rear locking differentials, beefier bumpers, and a different transfer case with a lower crawl ratio for serious rock-crawling.
