Johnny Manziel signs player agreement with Alliance of American Football

Johnny Manziel is headed back to the United States to play football. Because San Antonio, the team he would have been allocated to, waived his rights, according to Schefter, he will go through the league's waiver system.

Standard AAF contracts are for three years and $250,000.

Manziel was offered the chance to start working out with AAF teams earlier this month, and was reportedly contacted by the league within 24 hours of him being banned from the CFL.

Alleged Gambino Crime Family Boss Frank Cali Shot Dead Outside Home
Cali was believed to have been elevated to the position of acting boss in 2015, taking over from Domenico "Greaseball" Cefalu. He was shot outside the home'. "There were like six shots, and then there were three more", one witness told the Daily News.

Manziel was a first-round draft pick by Cleveland, but quickly fizzled out there. The Memphis Express now sport the lowest mark at 1-5. The former Texas A&M Heisman Trophy victor was released from his CFL contract last month, with league officials announcing he had "contravened the agreement which made him eligible to play in the league". The Express lost quarterback Zach Mettenberger on Saturday, who left after their first offensive snap with an ankle injury - according to the Memphis Commercial Appeal.

Manziel won the Heisman Trophy at Texas A&M as a redshirt freshman in 2012, and passed for 7,820 yards and 63 touchdowns in two seasons with the Aggies.

Manziel spent the 2018 season in the CFL with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and the Montreal Alouettes, where he appeared in eight games, throwing for five touchdowns and seven interceptions.
