More than 10 Arrested for Playing PUBGM, will follow court trial

Local police in Rajkot, India have arrested at least 10 citizens who violated a temporary ban on PUBG Mobile. And now, just days after the ban was first imposed, 10 people have been arrested in the city for violating the ban and playing the mobile in public areas.

Six of the ten arrested were under-graduate students according ot reports following the official ban that took place on March 6th. That's because it believes these forces of mass distraction are adversely affecting students' academic performance, and could cause them to fare poorly at their exams (which typically run during these two months).

The detained teenagers were taken into custody but later released with a warning, said Manoj Agrawal, police commissioner of Rajkot city in Gujarat. They'll have to appear in court, though, and face a trial for not adhering to the ban. Now, the Ahmedabad police have issued a notification prohibiting the game from March 14 till the midnight of March 28. After arrestees have been booked, "they will be shown as immediately bailed out by police".

After that report, another six people were arrested today - a group "undergraduate students and their young friends who are doing private jobs".

"It has come to our notice from various media that PUBG game, MOMO challenge is leading to a violent attitude among youth". The arrests were made after police checked the phones of the accused to see if the PUBG game was running and the cops also checked the history to nab the violators. The game is also having an impact on studies as well as behaviour, conduct and language of children and youth... Cops, education and research institutes were exempted from this ban order.
