'Shaken' Gasly confirms mistake caused big shunt

Pierre Gasly brought out the red flags on the penultimate afternoon of pre-season testing with a sizable shunt at turn nine of the Circuit de Catalunya. The RB15 looked severely damaged creating speculation that Red Bull could be forced to pack up early.

Gasly lost the rear at the fast Turn 9, pitching him into a spin that sent him rear-first into the barriers and caused significant damage to the rear and front-left corner of the auto.

"One of the biggest crashes I've had".

"I made a mistake in Turn 9 and basically lost the vehicle, pretty big crash, one of the biggest crash I had so far", he said. "Long night for the mechanics, sorry for them, most important is we can get Max in the vehicle tomorrow".

Dark Phoenix marks Fox's second attempt at adapting the seminal " Dark Phoenix Saga" from the comics. And it has to be better than Apocalypse , right? X-Men: Dark Phoenix hits local theatres June 6.

Gasly apologised to the team for the mistake and said he hopes they are able to get the vehicle repaired in time for Max Verstappen to complete the final day of testing tomorrow.

Gasly, who has now competed his pre-season testing, said he's encouraged by the performance and reliability of the Red Bull.

"Honestly, no (we can't do that time). We managed to do a lot of testing today and we have a lot to analyse". To be fair I think they are really fast - they show some good pace. The team have been pictured deconstructing their garage and it is believed that the damage will be too much to try and fix for tomorrow.

"I would say overall I'm really happy with the step Honda have done so far. In terms of development they are pushing massively which is great, there is still a gap but I would say a lot smaller than past year".
