The Times view on fallout from the Mueller report: Cleared of Collusion

READ: Six Dems Submitted A Letter To Barr Saying...

The letter was signed by House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler, along with five other House panel chairs.

"It's hard to find a black cat in a dark room, especially if it isn't there", the President's spokesman Dmitry Peskov commented on the release of a summary of Special Counsel Robert Mueller's report.

The House has voted, 402-0, on a non-binding resolution asking for the full release of the Mueller report. As I noted, Leftists painted Mueller as some liberal savior who would oust President Trump, and instead he has proven himself to be exactly what he was brought in to be - an independent investigator.

"Wouldn't bother me at all", he told reporters at the White House.

House Democrats pressed the Justice Department to provide the full report from special counsel Robert Mueller even as Republicans gleefully called for them to "move on" from the Russian Federation investigation.

The Mueller inquiry, dismissed as a witch-hunt by the White House, has nonetheless performed a valuable service.

The obstruction question had always been central to Mueller's investigation as prosecutors examined a series of actions by the president, including his firing of Comey, to determine whether Trump had tried to hamper the inquiry. Mr. Mueller drew no conclusions as to whether Mr. Trump had obstructed justice in the probe. But asked on Monday if Mueller had acted honourably, Trump said: "Yes". AG Barr, make the full report public.

I have consistently supported the Mueller investigation from the beginning. It also doesn't answer why several of those people lied to federal investigators or Congress during the Russian Federation probe.

Rep. Steve Scalise of Louisiana, the No. 2 House Republican, said Democrats don't want facts, "They just want to change the outcome of the 2016 election".

Wernick testified on two separate occasions, while Wilson-Raybould was not offered that opportunity. Butts told the committee she called it her dream job when she was told she was being shuffled.

According to Mueller, the answer is no.

The move comes after U.S. Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell blocked a second attempt by Democrats in the Senate to pass a measure a resolution urging the public release of the report.

Stephen Colbert took a cue from Shania Twain on Monday night, refusing to be impressed much by the news that President Trump did not collude with Russian Federation in 2016.

As the president's lawyers debated legal strategy, Trump aides and political allies developed a plan to turn the end of the probe into the launching pad for a new round of attacks on the president's foes and a moment to reinvigorate his supporters in the run-up to the 2020 campaign.

In an appearance on NBC's Today program, Ms Sanders said: "The media and Democrats have called the President an agent of a foreign government. That is an action equal to treason, which is punishable by death in this country".

Trump has repeatedly called the Mueller investigation a "witch hunt" and a "hoax" created for partisan purposes. Mr. Barr and his deputy Rod Rosenstein concluded that the Mueller report had insufficient evidence to charge Mr. Trump on that question.

Himes is part of the Democratic chorus demanding a full release of Mueller's report, which was summarized with the help of bullet points by Attorney General William Barr over the weekend.

Trump once called the Russian Federation investigation a cloud over his presidency. Barr said he'll release at least a partial version in April. Both led to bombshell indictments of Russian nationals, including officers in the GRU, Russia's military intelligence agency.
