The statement didn't reveal exactly when Season 1 was being released, other than to say there will be an update "very soon".

But it's not all good news, as Respawn sends a warning to Battle Royale fans. According to a report from Reuters, Tyler "Ninja" Blevins was paid $1 million by EA to tweet and stream Apex Legends during its launch on the morning of February 4, 2019.

The screenshot shows a new Legend, Octane, along with new weapons and "unique loot".

Presumably, there will also be some attempt at addressing hacking in the game, although Respawn are unlikely to go into any great detail about specific changes, as this would only make the hackers job of creating new cheats easier. We know this stuff is fun to dig up and speculate about, but you should not treat any of that info as a source of truth. Respawn, however, took some to clarify that while they have worked on the things that have been leaked, finding it does not mean that any of it will ever come out as it may just be old ideas or stuff they worked on and chose to cut.

Rumours have been churning around data-mined discoveries in Apex Legends, only to be quashed last night by developers Respawn Entertainment. Thank you to everyone for staying patient through this and hang tight.
