Thunder Can’t Stop Hot Nuggets Lose to Denver

Steven Adams brought back the Kiwi-step to stud another polished offensive display - but it was not enough to prevent the Oklahoma City Thunder falling to a potentially costly home National Basketball Association defeat to the Denver Nuggets on Saturday (NZT).

The Nuggets are a solid defensive team, allowing just 106.9 points per game this season while opponents shoot 45.7 percent from the field.

Denver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray (27) shoots over Oklahoma City Thunder guard Terrance Ferguson (23) during the first half at Chesapeake Energy Arena. George is averaging 28.2 points, 8.1 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game.

Over his last 12 games, PG is putting up 26.3 points while shooting 39.8 percent overall and 34.1 percent from the 3-point line.

The win was Denver's eighth in the last 10 games, while Oklahoma City lost for the sixth time in eight games.

The Oklahoma City Thunder could use a win here after losing five of their last seven games. Oklahoma City shot 29.6 percent from behind the arc.

It also doesn't answer why several of those people lied to federal investigators or Congress during the Russian Federation probe. On Sunday, Barr said there was insufficient evidence Trump obstructed justice by trying to interfere with Mueller's probe.

Russell Westbrook led the Thunder with 27 points, nine rebounds and nine assists, narrowly missing what would've been his second consecutive triple-double. Dennis Schroder is the third double-digit scorer and Steven Adams is grabbing 9.5 rebounds. The public betting for this game now has 58 percent going on the Thunder at home.

"I'm not thinking, 'OKC is an easy matchup because we swept them, '" Nuggets coach Michael Malone told reporters in Oklahoma. The Thunder are 2-7 ATS in their last 9 home games, 2-10 ATS in their last 12 vs.

Denver is playing back-to-back games as an underdog against a Western conference playoff team, but it hasn't had much success in that spot this season. The Nuggets are 4-0 ATS in the last 4 meetings in Oklahoma City and 8-0 ATS in the last 8 meetings.

The Thunder cut the lead to two possessions in the fourth quarter before Denver ripped off a quick 10-4 run to extend the lead and put the game away in the final minutes.

OKC's next outing is at home against the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday (NZT).
