Trump says late-night shows 'one-sided' and 'unwatchable'

Jay Leno says he doesn't miss doing late-night TV in today's politically divided climate.

Fox & Friends jumped on recent comments made by Jay Leno, in which the former late-night host complained about the over-politicization of current late night programs, or how "tough" it is when viewers only see political comedy as "one-sided".

"People say, 'Oh, it must be easy to do jokes with Trump, ' " he said. "And, you know, I did it when Clinton was horny and Bush was dumb, and it was just a little easier".

Leno, who hosted the show for a whopping 17 years, added, "Now it's all very serious, I'd just like to see a bit of civility come back to it".

On Wednesday the president longed for the days when Jay Leno sat in the comfy seat on the "Tonight" show on NBC. The former late night stalwart, 68, appeared on the March 13 episode of NBC's TODAY, and lamented the state of late night episode. "Actually, the one-sided hatred on these shows is incredible and for me, unwatchable". Where do you go with that?

Late-night host Jimmy Fallon got int trouble for his controversial 2016 hair ruffle interview with Donald Trump.

"Well, now people just want to be on the news all the time", he continued. "It's tough when there's only one topic.'" He tagged "Fox & Friends" in the post.

Jimmy Kimmel asked Kanye West why the rapper thought President Trump cared about black people when he had him on. It makes it very tough.

While a large number of responses to the president were drenched in sarcasm and derision, while firing a few pot shots at Leno. "All the comics - Jimmy, Colbert, everybody else - it's tough when that's the only topic out there".
