All it took was a single tweet of a "sad" father stationed behind the counter of a newly opened but desolate mom-and-pop doughnut shop to bring the community out and get sales rolling.

"My dad is sad cause no one is coming to his new donut shop", By wrote, accompanied by photos of overflowing shelves, stocked to the brim with donutty goodness. The tweet included several pictures, including one of his father standing alone in "Billy's Donuts" and another of the empty parking lot outside.

According to KPRC, dozens of people were crammed inside the store over the weekend, all of whom were enjoying pastries, donuts, sodas, and candies.

Within days of posting the heart-wrenching photos, the post has racked up over a quarter-million retweets from social media users eager to cheer up Billy's dad.

"I live literally 5 min away".

"Take all ur friends".

He shared pictures of the inside of the shop, and it looked pretty great, and his dad did look quite upset.

And before you know it, the store was packed on Sunday.

Twitter even sent over a team of people from its company to buy out the shop for other customers.

"Just wanted to update y'all!"

In his follow-up tweet, he revealed that the store was completely sold out of doughnuts and kolaches. "You are all wonderful", By tweeted, along with a photo of his no-longer-sad father. "This means so much to my family", he added.

Physical stores will have a small selection for customers who want to test drive a vehicle or drive one off the lot immediately. Tesla clearly is in need of a stronger middle management layer critical in running a $US50 billion auto company.
