Venezuela's Latest Nightmare: Crude Oil In The Tap Water

He said they would continue to carry on their "mission from other locations, where they will continue to help manage the flow of humanitarian assistance to the Venezuelan people". He said staffers look forward to resuming their presence in Venezuela "once the transition to democracy begins".

The United States has withdrawn all remaining diplomatic personnel from its embassy in Caracas as the crisis in Venezuela deepens, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said Thursday.

Also Thursday, the State Department confirmed it has revoked 340 US visas from Venezuelans, including more than 100 former diplomats and their families.

Pompeo tweeted earlier this week that the diplomats would be withdrawn because they had become a "constraint" on USA policy. Despite this, he said the US will continue to stand with self-proclaimed interim President Juan Guaido.

That could explain why, instead of dispatching crews to fix the problem, France24 reports that Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro is dispatching prosecutors to find and charge opposition leader Juan Guaido with sabotaging the country's grid system by causing a major explosion at the Guiado dam. Most countries in Europe and Latin America have followed suit. State Department spokesman Robert Palladino told reporters that the US has revoked more than 600 visas from Venezuelans since late past year.

"I congratulate him for the work he did", Maduro said in a speech Tuesday night. Since Monday, the US has revoked 340 visas, 107 of which were for Venezuelan diplomats and their families, according to Palladino.

The KAP was initially punished for not denouncing Anning's "final solution" speech but eventually expelled him for the comments . Independent Queensland Senator Fraser Anning has been slammed for his appalling response to the Christchurch terror attack.

As of late 2018, the US has revoked more than 600 Venezuelan visas.

Maduro blamed the blackouts on alleged sabotage engineered by the USA and the Venezuelan opposition.

While most Venezuelans aren't suffering from such clearly contaminated water, nearly all Venezuelans are struggling to live without power, as the electrical grid system failure drags on into its second week.

Maduro has dubbed Guaido a puppet of the United States and said Washington has attempted a coup d'etat to exact a change in government. "The whole world knows who the saboteur is", he said.

They and others now recognise Guaido, the leader of the country's opposition-controlled legislative body, as Venezuela's rightful interim president.
