Roc Thomas, a running back who played in five games for the Vikings last season, faces felony possession of marijuana charges in Dakota County, according to a criminal complaint.

According to KSTP, a warrant was issued for a Mendota Heights apartment after receiving some complaints which resulted in a search warrant being issued. When officers entered the apartment, they encountered Thomas and another man. Police searched Thomas' residence on January 16 and found multiple glass jars and containers holding suspected marijuana and marijuana wax.

The complaint said during a search of the apartment's bedroom, officers located multiple glass jars containing marijuana and marijuana wax.

Investigators also said they found a vape pen, along with almost $16,000 in the nightstands next to the bed.

While the officers were at his residence, Thomas told them he was aware of complaints about the smell of the marijuana that had been filed to building management.

"We are aware of the charges filed against Roc Thomas", read a statement released by the Vikings, "and have expressed our disappointment directly to Roc for his actions".

Thomas, a former Auburn and Jacksonville State product, joined the Vikings as a undrafted free agent in May 2018. "We will respect both the legal process and the NFL's disciplinary process".
