
Vivo iQOO gaming smartphone with Snapdragon 855, 12GB RAM launched
Vivo's sub-brand iQoo has been teasing the launch of its first smartphone in China and it has finally happened. Most of the phone's variants support the company's 44W Vivo Super FlashCharge technology, which should charge up the phone from 0 to 100 percent in just 45 minutes.
Furthermore, the Vivo iQOO will also feature two hidden pressure sensitive buttons for gaming along with 4D gaming experience with real-time recognition of the game scene which vibrates the phone to intelligent match the scene.
The first flash sale for Vivo iQOO in China will be held on March 6, registrations for which are open. It will be available for 2,998 yuan (circa $450) for the 6/128GB model, and 4,298 yuan (around $640) for the beefed up 12/256GB version. The higher-end 12GB RAM+256GB storage model will cost 4298 yuan or approximately Rs 45,500.

Vivo iQoo comes in four configurations and blue or orange colour schemes. It gets a 6.41-inch display with a resolution of 2,340 x1,080 pixels and waterdrop notch design. There are three sensors on the back with 12MP Sony IMX363, 12MP wide-angle and 2MP depth sensor, for pretty detailed photography. On the front, the device has a 12 MP selfie camera with 1080p video recording capability.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC power the smartphone with 6/8/12 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128/256 GB of internal storage with dual SIM card slots with support for 4G LTE and VoLTE on both the slots. It also features an in-display fingerprint scanner, triple-camera setup on the back (12/13/2MP), and a 4,000mAh battery with vivo's own fast charging technology.
The base variant with 6GB RAM/ and 128GB storage variant does not feature ultra-fast charging and is priced at 2998 (approx Rs.32,000) yuan. The phone includes vapor cooling system that should keep the phone from overheating during long gaming sessions.
