NBA rumors Andrew Bogut Warriors reunion could happen and here’s how

Andrew Bogut is poised to rejoin the National Basketball Association champion Golden State Warriors with head coach Steve Kerr confirming talks are under way.

Kerr answered questions on the benefits of having a defensive-minded center, knowing that reporters wanted the scoop on the Bogut situation.

Bogut spent four seasons as the Warriors' starting center, including the team's 2015 championship run and the record-setting 73-win campaign in 2015-16.

A native of Melbourne, Bogut appeared in 24 games for the Los Angeles Lakers last season, but was waived in January of 2018 and returned to Australia.

Ben Simmons' Philadelphia 76ers were also reportedly interested in signing the Bogut.

The 34-year-old towering centre is coming off a standout campaign in Australia and could help the Warriors shore up their big-man depth as they chase a third consecutive National Basketball Association championship and fourth in five seasons. Bogut's agent is working on getting a letter of clearance from Sydney.

Bogut played the role of an interior intimidator, providing a formidable last line of defense.

Now an unsigned free agent, Bogut took a year to come play for the Sydney Kings in the 2018-19 NBL season.
