Elizabeth Warren Praises Rise of Ocasio-Cortez

In the essay, which was published Wednesday, Warren examines how Ocasio-Cortez emerged as one of the "most influential people" of 2019 despite having been a relative unknown less than one year ago.

"And she's just getting started", Senator Elizabeth Warren wrote for the magazine Wednesday, praising the NY congresswoman as a "fearless leader" fighting against a "rigged system".

Comer said that there was no "upside" to bringing AOC to Kentucky, and added that "Republicans are making a mistake picking on her". Today, millions are taking cues from her. And she's just getting started.

Describing the financial struggles faced by Ocasio-Cortez's family after her father's death, in 2008, Warren wrote: "She watched as our government bailed out Wall Street while it ignored families like hers".

"In a Sunday interview with the Yahoo News podcast 'Skullduggery,' the freshman NY congresswoman explained why she is endorsing a boycott of the paper organized by local Yemeni-American bodega owners, calling the Post's attack on her friend Rep. Ilhan Omar 'beyond the pale, '" adds the author. When asked about the possibility of Biden running for president, Ocasio-Cortez said the idea "does not particularly animate me right now".

Avalanche provides memorable moments in dominating Game 3 win
Sam Bennett was the best player on the ice for the Flames on Monday night, and that's becoming a bit of a theme in these playoffs. They've won four of their last five games at Colorado and were 8-0-1 in their last nine against the Avalanche prior to Game 2.

Warren, who previously worked as an academic, is a progressive Democrat also considered to be on the left of her party.

"I'm very supportive of Bernie's run".

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said she's quit Facebook even though the social media site was an important tool for her 2018 campaign. Earlier this week, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., took a veiled swipe at Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., claiming that the progressive wing of her caucus that was supposedly in rebellion against moderates was "like five people". Corbin Trent, a spokesperson for Ocasio-Cortez, told the Lexington Herald-Leader, "We're very proud and thankful for (Crenshaw's) service, but what we are talking about is his fanning the flames of hate".

Back in March, Time dedicated a cover story to her rapid and "unlikely" rise through the Democratic Party.

Viewed as a radical by many, the self-described democratic socialist has called for a single-payer healthcare system, the abolishment of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency (ICE) and a Green New Deal that would see broad environmental reform and job creation.
