Bebe Rexha Reveals She Has Bipolar Disorder

A day before Bebe spoke about her disorder, she posted a video on Instagram saying how she was trying not to get "super competitive" about chart positions and tracking her success online.

Superstar singer Bebe Rexha shocked fans Monday when she revealed her battle with bipolar disorder and shared that she was finally opening up about it because she's "not ashamed anymore".

In January, Bebe took to social media to reveal that designers refused to dress her "too big" size 8 frame for the Grammys in February. Why I felt lows that just made me not want to leave my home or be around anyone and why I felt highs that would not let me sleep, would not let me stop working or creating music.

She tweeted that she now understands why, 'for the longest time, ' she felt so sick. "Now I know why", the "Say My Name" singer wrote.

The US singer spoke about the illness on Twitter, saying she no longer feels "ashamed" of her condition.

1 arrested after transgender woman brutally beaten in broad daylight in Dallas
Police have made an arrest in the brutal beating Friday of a transgender woman that's being classified as a hate crime. A man in a white shirt starts to hit the 23-year-old woman in the face and she falls to the ground.

Rexha said she hoped her fans could accept her as she is. They reassured her of their support and some of them said they were dealing with their own health struggles. "Then I don't want to wear your f-- dresses".

"You're saying all the women in the world that are a size 8 and up are not attractive and they can not wear your dresses". I love you all very much.

Thankfully, several designers then offered to work with her on a dress and she ended up wearing an eye-catching Monsoori gown. "I want to be known for my art but I also want to help people and stand for something".

Rexha told Newsweek in March that the reaction she'd received on that occasion taught her something about herself and the kind of artist she wants to be.
