Britain's Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Break Instagram Followers Record

Though we think the Duchess always looks gorgeous, when photos of her in the dress emerged, she was unfortunately subjected to uncalled-for criticisms, with people branding her look "inappropriate" and "disrespectful" over on the Kensington Palace Instagram page.

The Sussexes first post, shared on Tuesday afternoon, quickly attracted attention. Since then, the account following has doubled, and now stands at 2.1 million followers (correct at the time of writing on 3 April 2019).

It's also worthy to note that Harry and Meghan have been removed from the Kensington Palace Twitter account's bio, which now only mentions Prince William and Kate Middleton.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have broken a world record after gaining over two million followers overnight on their joint Instagram account.

Britain's Prince Harry and his wife Meghan broke a record by reaching one million followers.

Last month, the Royal Family published social media guidelines for the public, vowing to block users who leave offensive or abusive comments on official channels. Did you expect anything less from the royal power couple?

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are the latest to be bitten by the social media bug, as the duo is now on Instagram.

The move comes just weeks ahead of the expected arrival of the duke and duchess' first child, with Meghan rumoured to be due at the end of April or beginning of May.
