Barcelona set to hand Messi fresh £175million deal

Barcelona forward Philippe Coutinho has broken his silence ahead of his return to England this week ahead of the Champions League game against Manchetser United at Old Trafford.

"Playing at Old Trafford is one of the best feelings a footballer can have".

The Brazilian admits that he would have preferred to meet the Reds in the final itself if it had to happen, but says that he won't be holding back if he lines out against Jurgen Klopp's side as the Blaugrana chase the Champions League crown.

"The past four years have felt like 20 years, I'm telling you!"

It was there new United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer scored the stoppage-time victor which wrote his name into club folklore as they won the treble in stunning fashion.

"Why should I be?" I was fortunate to score in the semis to get us to the European Cup final.

I'm sure Ole knows what to do here and he will have his side fired up and ready for Barça. And the Bulgaria legend has some ominous words for Red Devils fans.

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that French defender Samuel Umtiti has insisted he wants to stay at Barcelona despite being linked with Premier League side Arsenal.

"I have that nailed in my memory and, even though this is a different stage, if Barcelona knock United out of Europe, it will be a double personal satisfaction for me".

United are second-favourites against Barca on this occasion but that does not worry Cole, who pointed out they beat Paris St Germain against the odds in the previous round.

Speaking about the draw for the quarter-finals, Cole said: "I called it beforehand. But they know that later we could see them at Anfield and then, of course, I will be there with Barcelona wanting to win". It's a odd thing, it's fate, it's 20 years on, and then we get Barcelona.

"I know that games against Manchester United are special".

"This match is a classic in European football". United have proven that against PSG and, yes, they are going to have to play extremely well because they have an impish little genius in (Lionel) Messi. "You touched on the goal there and I look at that goal, it just gets better and better".
