With Eden Hazard seemingly poised to join Real Madrid in the new season, Chelsea have reportedly identified a £70 million-rated African superstar as the Belgium superstar's replacement.

It's not the first time Hazard has been linked with a move to the Bernabeu, it also looked likely last summer, but with Zinedine Zidane back in charge of Real and their disastrous season hinting at a big summer in the transfer market it looks inevitable this summer.

Chelsea FC are ready to try and sign Nicolas Pepe from Lille as a replacement for Eden Hazard this summer, according to reports in the British media.

Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport highlight the player stating that: "Nicolas is 23 years old, having started at Angiers, he is now dragging Lille to a place in the Champions League next season with his goals".

With the return of 19 goals and 13 assists in Ligue 1 so far, the Ivorian has attracted interest from a host of elite European clubs, including Arsenal and Chelsea, add the Daily Mirror. "Lille recently delayed PSG from securing the title, thanks to Pepe's contribution".

Hazard will have only one year left on his contract at Stamford Bridge after this campaign, and many expect him to move to Los Blancos in the next window.

However, any move to Chelsea will exclusively depend on whether their appeal to lift or at least postpone the 2 window transfer embargo slapped on them is successful.

However the biggest issue for the Blues right now is their transfer ban.
