The outage-tracking website showed that there are more than 9,000 incidents of people reporting issues with Facebook.

Facebook, which operates the other social media sites, has more than 2.3 billion users worldwide on all its platforms.

First reported in parts of Europe by Downdetector, a website that monitors outages, the problem was also noted across South Africa and the contient.

It appears that Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram are suffering another outage.

Soon after the users faced outage, several users took to Twitter to share their experience with hashtags like #FacebookDown, #instagramdown and #whatsappdown.
