Man Charged In 2001 Murder Immediately After His Release From Prison

The New Port Richey Police Department said 51-year-old Randy Petersilge beat 41-year-old Simon Clark to death on November 28, 2001.

Randy Petersilge, 51, was placed under arrest following his release from federal prison on April 5, 2019.

Police said Petersilge was named as a possible suspect early on in the investigation, but was never arrested.

But now President Emmerson Mnangagwa's government will pay the farmers back after putting aside £13.5 million as compensation. The land reform was brought in by Mugabe in 2000 in a move that was criticised around the world.

New Port Richey police detectives reopened the case in 2017 and after conducting interviews and investigating, a Grand Jury indicted Petersilge on first-degree murder charges.

Petersilge is awaiting extradition to Pasco County Jail.

Shortly after his death it emerged that Clarke had, 'talked to some subcontractors and found things weren't getting done and things weren't adding up, ' according to New Port Richey Police Sergeant Scott Baker.
