Astronaut to eclipse record for longest US spaceflight by a woman

A US rocket was launched on Wednesday from NASA's Wallops Flight Facility on Virginia's Eastern Shore, carrying cargo with the space agency's resupply mission for the International Space Station (ISS).

As if being an astronaut aboard the International Space Station weren't cool enough, NASA's Christina Koch will become the agency's second explorer to spend almost a year inside the orbiting laboratory.

This late loading capability provides NASA the opportunity to launch time-sensitive research experiments.

Antares' height is 230-242,5 meters, its diameter is 3,9 meters, the mass of the empty rocket is 20,6 tons, while the equipped one weights 263 tons. Northrop Grumman's 11th contracted cargo resupply mission with NASA to the International Space Station will deliver about 7,600 pounds of science and research, crew supplies and vehicle hardware to the orbital laboratory and its crew. This included the NASA-sponsored 3U CubeSat called Student Aerothermal Spectrometer Satellite of IL and Indiana CubeSat (SASSI2) and 60 ThinSats sponsored by Virginia Space Flight Authority.

Roman Reigns featured alongside The Rock in new trailer for "Hobbs & Shaw"
There's a moment in ' Hobbs & Shaw ' where Jason Statham repeatedly smushes a man's face into a keypad for comedic effect. A new "Hobbs & Shaw" trailer packs in the worldwide action with fast cars and high-intensity fight scenes.

NASA astronaut Nick Hague is also aboard the ISS right now.

The cargo ship will be received at the International Space Station early Friday. Full deployment will take approximately 30 minutes. It will remain at the space station until July 23, when it will depart, deploy NanoRacks customer CubeSats, and then have an extended mission in orbit until December.

Northrop Grumman said it is honouring Chaffee ahead of the 50th anniversary of the first manned moon landing, because he made the ultimate sacrifice without ever reaching space.

However, the first group of long-term residents on board the space station did not arrive until two years later in November 2000. "These advanced capabilities allow Cygnus to maximise its potential for both the Space Station and commercial partners".
