Giannis Antetokounmpo Reportedly Turns Down Role for "Space Jam 2"

On Tuesday, we found out that one of those superstars is Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, who reportedly declined an offer to be in the movie.

Days after a report indicated that LeBron James is struggling to recruit top National Basketball Association players to join him for his upcoming "Space Jam" sequel, Antetokounmpo confirmed that he declined an invitation to star in the movie. Don't count on it.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, NBA All-Stars Stephen Curry, James Harden and Kevin Durant are unlikely to join LeBron James in the movie because of rivaling sneaker company deals.

In fact, Warner Bros.is responsible for roping in talent, not James.

VP Pence demands United Nations recognize Juan Guaido as Venezuela's president
Looking at Moncada, who was also seated at the horseshoe-shaped Security Council table, Pence said: "With all due respect Mr. Ambassador, you shouldn't be here".

It's important to understand here that the original Space Jam was largely based on a "Hare Jordan" ad campaign from 1993 that first paired up Michael Jordan and Bugs Bunny on-screen.

While those names by themselves represent some of the biggest stars in the league, it's worth noting that the Nike roster contains a laundry list of names who still could make an appearance in the film. That makes the involvement of Curry (Under Armour contract through 2024) and Harden (Adidas) almost impossible, sources say. Although Durant is under contract with Nike, he's pursuing his own projects, including an autobiographical Apple series, Swagger. "Some of the top guys he wants to come and be with him in the movie".

It sounds like he was telling the truth.
