Ikea's just begun getting into the smart speaker business, and its new offering is created to fit into any space in your home - but there's no denying that it kinda resembles an Apple HomePod.

As is par for the course with IKEA, the designs for the new speakers are what really stand out.

As far as the audio hardware is concerned, Sonos told The Verge that both products have two class-D digital amplifiers, one tweeter, and one mid-woofer.

The table lamp speaker is also just as straightforward. Same launch timeframe goes for the bookshelf speaker.

While they don't have a built-in voice assistant, users can control them with Siri, as the speakers both support AirPlay 2.

Polanco hit a triple in the first inning, a single in the third, a home run in the fifth and a double in the seventh. He has allowed nine hits and a walk over 12 innings this season while striking out 14 to go with a 0.75 ERA.

"The lamp and bookshelf speakers will be full-fledged members of the Sonos ecosystem". The bookshelf speakers can be placed horizontally or vertically, as as its name suggests, you can also mount the speaker on a wall or inside a shelf or even have it act as a standalone piece. Given their size and their relatively starting-range price, the speakers won't quite match up to the standard set by Sonos' other products, but the idea was to partner with IKEA to build truly uplifting home-decor, which I can't help but agree with!

These lamps are aimed at smart homes, too, with IKEA saying that, at some point in the future, it will integrate with other smart home items from the company through the IKEA app.

The lamp and bookshelf, part of a line called 'Symfonisk, ' are priced at $179 and $99, respectively, and are expected to become available for purchase in August.

Both devices can be paired with an existing Sonos audio setup, like the Playbase, Playbar or Sonos Beam.
