Pakistan Says India Planning Another Military Attack

The foreign minister added that Pakistan has informed all five permanent members of United Nations Security Council (UNSC), including China, France, United States, United Kingdom and Russian Federation about Indian plans to disrupt the peace of the region.

FM Qureshi said that he had consulted with Prime Minister Imran Khan and decided to make public the development in order to expose the Indian designs.

India added that Pakistan has been advised to use established diplomatic and DGMO channels to share any actionable and credible intelligence it has about imminent terror attacks and warned that it reserves the right to respond firmly and decisively to any cross border terrorist attack. "As per our information this could take place between April 16 and 20", Qureshi told reporters in his hometown of Multan. India had then carried out a "pre-emptive non-military" air strike across the Line of Control in Balakot at the terror camps of JeM with more than 1000 kgs of bomb.

Pakistan is taking the intelligence of possible Indian aggression seriously as it has already reached out to the key world capitals on the development.

Pakistan contested the Indian claim and very next day retaliated with air strikes but dropped the missile in open spaces just to convey the message that Indian military aggression would not go unpublished.

"If it happens, you can imagine the impact of the occurrence on the peace and stability of the region." he said. And its objective will be to justify India's offensive against Pakistan and to increase diplomatic pressure against Islamabad, he added.

"We want the worldwide community to take notice of this irresponsible behaviour and reprimand them [India] for taking this route", he said. In the ensuing dogfight over Kashmir, Pakistani fighter planes shot down an Indian fighter jet and arrested its pilot.

Hiring Rebounded in March as Economy Added 196,000 Jobs
Labour force numbers, which had been rising strongly along with jobs , also declined slightly in March, down by 11,300. However, a sharp jump of 56,000 reported in January means the three-month average is still 15,700.

Qureshi also criticised the global community for remaining silent over Indian aggression against Pakistan on February 26.

"The worldwide community, given the sensitivity of this flashpoint, should not remain silent", he stated, adding that the global community should and would have to play their role in this regard.

The Indian claim was resoundingly debunked by a recent report in a Foreign Policy, which quoted senior US Defence officials as saying that "no Pakistani F16 jet was missing".

Pakistan had also summoned the Indian deputy high commissioner to protest against any "misadventure", Pakistani Foreign Office spokesman Mohammad Faisal said in a Tweet.

Khan blamed India's ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for "whipping up war hysteria" over claims that India shot down a Pakistani F-16 during the February standoff. "Pakistan has been trying to resolve the matters with India", he said, while inviting India for a dialogue in the larger interest of both South Asian countries and the region.
