Also starring Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Sonakshi Sinha, the film made the most of its Wednesday opening, which coincided with Mahavir Jayanti.

It became the biggest opener of this year, beating Akshay Kumar's Kesari. As per BOI, the film collected around Rs 10.75-11 crores on the third day.

One of Karan Johar's most ambitious project, "Kalank" directed by Abhishek Varman finally hit the theatres on April 17 amongst huge anticipation of the audience. However Karan Johar's production movie "Kalank" failed to do that.

"Speaking of Kalank's second day collection, Taran Adarsh had tweeted, "#Kalank has a fall on Day 2.

Rumors of a secret wedding began swirling in December 2016, when the "Hello" singer was photographed with a band on her finger. In a statement on Friday, they said the pair were "committed to raising their son together lovingly".

Trade analysts write that Kalank has been performing better in multiplexes as compared to mass circuits. Big jump is clearly missing. From a whopping of Rs 21.60 crore, the film fell to Rs 11.45 crore on Thursday.

While we were expecting the period saga to earn over Rs 20 crore and cross the Rs 50 crore mark, it has fallen short and how.

Kalank's box office report of day 3 is out and as per Box Office India, the movie saw a huge drop at the ticket window on day two and on the day three as well the film hardly minted any money. Karan Johar's films have always been commercially successful in the global markets and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Kabhie Alvida Naa Kehna and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil are classic examples of that.

"That would have been the best thing", she added. "Hopefully, people will like it". While the film has been receiving mixed reviews from the audience and the critics alike, the film has been doing numbers at the box-office. So, are you planning to watch the film in the coming days?
