Liverpool face Thorgan Hazard battle with Borussia Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund have made an offer in the region of €40m to land Borussia Monchengladbach winger Thorgan Hazard.

Belgium global Hazard - brother of Chelsea star Eden - has always been linked with a switch to Signal Iduna Park, although the Reds have also been heavily credited with an interest.

It was reported that he's decided against renewing with the German club, something they confirmed on Monday, and has come to the conclusion Borussia Dortmund is likely the best destination for him.

Despite Hazard deciding that his future lies elsewhere, Eberl insists the club will not accept an offer that does not meet their valuation for the player.

Wynn was proposing to buy the company half in cash, half in shares, and the current proposal had not gone to the Crown board. It is understood Crown Resorts called in its bankers at UBS for advice about one month ago before rebuffing the approach.

With nine goals and ten assists this season, Hazard has become a key player for "Gladbach", who now sit in fifth place in the Bundesliga, putting them in the fight with Leipzig and Eintracht for a Champions League spot in the top four.

Despite this, DH's report claims Hazard, who was also on Chelsea's books as a youngster, is reluctant to join Liverpool over concerns regarding playing time.

Dortmund will reportedly pay 40 million euros for the 26-year-old midfielder, making him the most expensive signing in the club's history.

Hazard started on the left wing for Gladbach as they drew 1-1 at home with Werder Bremen on Sunday.
