Magic Johnson stepping down as Lakers president

Johnson told reporters that he was stepping down before informing Jeanie Buss, the controlling owner of the team.

"I can't tweet out like Russell Westbrook, that was a great feat the other day", Johnson said. Johnson might not have realized what it would take when he took the job. We're halfway there with LeBron coming (last summer).

The status of Luke Walton as head coach has in doubt since the start of the season. I'm looking forward to my life.

In a press conference, Johnson told reporters he was exhausted of the "backstabbing" that came with the job, and was annoyed by tampering rules that made it hard for him to communicate with players from other teams.

"I thought about Dwyane Wade retiring (Wednesday), and I can't even tweet that out or be there", Johnson said.

Marcelo Bielsa: Our motivation is higher
Bamford struck with a left-foot finish 12 minutes later and wrapped up the win with a header 14 minutes from time. We can not verify his level in training but he has done very high work and is in very good physical condition".

Now before you panic, it should be noted that Smith has been wrong on the interview front before.

James said that when all of the Lakers' key personnel was fit, the team had been a match for most other sides in the league. Johnson has many thriving business interests along with ownership stakes in the Los Angeles Dodgers and Los Angeles FC.

Johnson was hired along with Pelinka in February 2017 when Buss dismissed her brother, Jim, and GM Mitch Kupchak.

Johnson cited the fact that he was not having fun in his role with the Lakers and wants to be able to publicly congratulate opposing players under contract on various accomplishments, like Russell Westbrook when he recorded his recent 20-20-20 game.

The Los Angeles Lakers are going to miss the playoffs again this season and quite frankly, the fan base is fed up.
