Russian Ambassador to the UK Alexander Yakovenko right shakes hands with Novichok poisoning victim Charlie Rowley inside the Russian Embassy in London where they met for talks Saturday

"I just got Russian propaganda", Rowley told the Mirror. British authorities say the bottle contained traces of Novichok, the nerve agent that poisoned former Russian spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter in Salisbury a few months earlier.

A British man who survived exposure to a military grade nerve agent has questioned Russia's ambassador about the accidental poisoning that killed his girlfriend previous year. Sturgess died in hospital several days later and Rowley recovered after spending 10 days in a coma.

"I went along to ask them 'Why did your country kill my girlfriend?' but I didn't really get any answers", Rowley, 45, said. "The ambassador kept saying the substance wasn't the Novichok they had made because if it was, it would have killed everyone", Rowley said after the meeting.

"I liked the ambassador, but I thought some of what he said trying to justify Russian Federation not being responsible was ridiculous. But I still think Russian Federation carried out the attack".

But he said the diplomat told him Russian Federation was not behind the attack. Mr Skripal and his daughter survived. The area has been declared safe after decontamination work.

Idiot Fan Attacks Bret Hart During WWE Hall Of Fame 2019 Speech
Hart was being inducted as part of the Hart Foundation tag team with recently deceased partner Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart. When the broadcast resumed, numerous WWE superstars and employees had surrounded Bret and Natalya in the ring.

Mr Yakovenko had seemed "genuinely concerned" during the 90-minute meeting, Mr Rowley said.

Shortly thereafter, the police announced that the couple, Dawn Sturgess and Charlie Rowley, were believed to have handled an item supposedly contaminated with the same military-grade nerve agent which was allegedly used in the March attack on the Skripals.

Britain charged the two men in absentia with attempted murder and said the suspects were military intelligence officers nearly certainly acting on orders from high up in the Russian state.

Scotland Yard accused them of being Russian military intelligence (GRU) officers sent to Britain to assassinate Sergei Skripal.

'I've seen a normal person who has really suffered a lot and who has suffered a tragedy in his life. Russian President Vladimir Putin said in an interview that the two suspects were civilians who went to England as tourists. "If he asked for it, I would give him support", he reportedly said.
