According to Synergy Sports, Houser rated as one of the top spot-up players in the nation last season: 1.36 points per possession (69.3 eFG%).

Brothers Sam and Joey Hauser will transfer from Marquette following the conclusion of the current semester, the school announced Monday.

The loss of the two forwards is significant for a Golden Eagles squad that many projected to be a top-10 team next season.

"Sam, listed 6'8" and 225 pounds, averaged 14.9 points and 7.2 rebounds per game past year.

In his freshman season, Joey Hauser averaged 9.7 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 29.2 minutes per game.

Sam Hauser will have to sit one year before playing his final season because he will not be a graduate transfer.

"We are thankful for all that Sam and Joey contributed to our program and University during their time at Marquette and wish them the best of luck in the future", head coach Steve Wojciechowski said in a statement. Similar to his brother, Joey is an excellent shooter, too (42.5 3P%); both finished with true shooting rates above 58 percent this season.
