Aaron Baddeley has continued his strong 2019 form but couldn't produce a tournament-winning final round at the PGA's Corales Puntacana Championship in the Dominican Republic.

Despite a bogey at his final hole, Northern Ireland's McDowell was able to edge clear of Chris Stroud who bogeyed his final two holes after having the lead on his own with two holes to play.

McDowell took the lead from Stroud with a 7-foot birdie putt on the par-3 17th and closed with a bogey - lagging a 30-foot par putt to inches - on the par-4 18th.

McDowell began the round with a one-shot lead and birdied three of his opening four holes, only for Chris Stroud to birdie four in a row from the fourth.

Stroud also closed with a 69 while Hughes climbed the leaderboard with a six-under 66.

McDowell secured his first PGA Tour win since 2015 when he claimed a one-stroke victory in the US PGA Tour's Puntacana Resort Championship.

"This is big. This is big".

Elon Musk drops rap song
Elon Musk is known to be a visionary in the space of solar power, electric cars, reusable rocket ships and a lot more. Brace yourselves, because the simulation we're all now living through is about to take a drastic turn.

"This is big for the people who stood by me - my sponsors, Srixon, RBC, Mastercard, Wheels Up - the guys who stood by me because it's been a rough few years".

"This is big", an emotional McDowell said.

This win, he said, has given him the confidence he needs to continue to play with some of the world's best. "He hit some great shots and 17 is a ideal example. He got rewarded there". On 16th green, I said to myself, "You've got to do something that's tournament-winning".

McDowell's most recent victory came at the Mayakoba Golf Classic in November 2015, so his win in the Dominican Republic ended a tough streak for the 2010 U.S. Open champion.

"I hit the ball really poorly today and I did a really, really good job of making awesome pars, making some birdies when I had a chance", Stroud said.

"In the last six months I made a lot of cuts, struggled to make my good weeks into great weeks". Even coming down the last two holes, I hit a pretty poor chip on 17 after hitting a horrendous 6-iron.
