NBA Odds: Celtics Square Off Vs. Pacers On Friday In Pick’Em Matchup

The over/under total for the contest is listed at 214 points.

Tonight, 26 of those 30 will be in action, and of the 13 matchups, three in particular have drawn some significant attention from sharp bettors, including Celtics-Pacers (8 p.m. ET, ESPN).

So who wins Pacers vs. Celtics?

Sixty-three percent bets and 66% of dollars have landed on Orlando, which somewhat comes with the territory of betting favorites (public bettors tend to flock toward laying the points with the better team). Boston neutralized the Pacers' inside game by speeding up the tempo, scoring 34 points in the second quarter to take a 58-47 lead into halftime.

Despite their recent strong play, the Celtics remain deadlocked with IN in fourth place IN the Eastern Conference standings. They are neck-and-neck with the Indiana Pacers for the East's fourth playoff seed.

From there, the Celtics were able to close out the game, with the reserves for both teams finishing things out.

The Celtics are led by their defense, as they are giving up 108 points per game while opponents shoot 44.9 percent against them. Marcus Morris is out for tonight's game with a knee injury while Jaylen Brown is doubtful with a back injury.

Trump To Skip White House Correspondents Dinner, Hold Rally Instead
Last year, Trump held a rally in MI on the night of the dinner, and the year before he spoke with his supporters in Pennsylvania. This will be his third year in a row skipping the annual gathering of journalists, celebrities and big names in politics.

Boston remained on the attack in the third quarter, increasing the advantage to as many as 18 points before taking a 91-74 lead into the final quarter by shooting 55.4 percent from the field. Kyrie Irving is leading the team with 23.9 points and 7.0 assists per game while Jayson Tatum is adding 15.9 points and 6.1 rebounds per contest.

IN is coming off a 108-89 win at Detroit on Wednesday for a second straight victory. IN has already beaten Boston at Bankers Life Fieldhouse once, and its 29-10 record at home is the sixth-best in the National Basketball Association. Despite allowing a league-low 104.1 points, Boston repeatedly shredded the Pacers defence. The Celtics rank well ahead of IN in offensive efficiency and assist-to-turnover ratio, while also boasting a top-five point differential. The Pacers may be without Darren Collison (groin) and Wesley Matthews (hamstring). The Pacers have covered the spread in four of their last six.

That inconsistency also extends to recent road contests, with Boston winning outright in just two of six outings, while going 5-5-1 ATS over its past 11, according to the OddsShark NBA Database.

Overall, the Pacers are a dismal 7-12 SU in 19 outings since February 23, but have continued to play steady ball on home hardwood, going 11-3 SU and 10-4 ATS in their past 14.

Pacers: Will try to rebound by sweeping the season series from Brooklyn in their final regular-season home game Sunday. IN also picked up a narrow 103-102 win as a 3.5-point underdog at online sports betting sites in its last home date with the Celtics in November. Boston is also going to be without some key players, so I think Indiana's defense will continue to be the story.

The result puts Boston on track for home-court advantage in the upcoming National Basketball Association playoffs.
